Getting to 60-70 gr of Protein is still a challenge, most days are about 55 or so. I am close to 5 months out and consistently lose an average of 2 lbs a week. Hair loss has not been an issue to date ( knock on wood!)

Yup me too.

Hi all - checking in here. Sleeved 9/12, so getting close to 5 months. A lot of days I still feel a lot of restriction. Getting enough Protein in after I've drank all the Water I am supposed to drink is a challenge some days. I just don't feel like there is a whole lot of room left for food..... I'm averaging about 400-550 calories per day.

I started working out about 3 weeks ago (around 4 months post op) and it has made a huge difference in how I feel. It's also helped break through my one "real" stall that I had.

hair loss is crazy and out of control....lol. I'm really hoping it stops soon. Thank goodness I had very thick hair to begin with.

So other than that, I'm down 86 pounds and getting close to that 100 lost mark. :-)

Congrats! Are you exercising? I haven't been. I've been losing about 2 lbs a week. I'm really gonna start exercising though.

I'm not scared about what is said that you can lose up to 18 months, I'm rather scared that I'm gonna stop losing altogether. It really means a lot to me to reach my 140 goal. I'll be 5 months in 2 to 3 weeks. I'm averaging at about 500 to 700 cal right now.

I've been drinking a bit of wine on the weekends which has really gotten in the way of the weight loss. Need to loose 22 more lbs before May 8. I need some motivation again. Hoping the trip to Mexico on 5/8 does the trick.

Highest weight 280

Surgery weight 268

Current weight 200 (5 months out)

I'm 5'9"

Met the doctors goal of 205, but my personal goal is 175-180. I really need to kick in some exercise, I started off really good with walking everyday 2 times a day and now nothing ;( I just found out I have a pinched nerve in my back which is causing me to have a drop foot, so it's really difficult to walk at a fast pace with a drop foot.

Sw 265

Cw 225 I think. Need to weigh.

I might be down more that was last week. Out on a pair of pants today that used to fit like a glove. There is a full 2 inches of room around the entire pant-size 18. Just last week I bought 2 pairs of size 16 pants so I have pants for work. I am currently in all.my.skinny pants. Love that! Can't wait until I cannot wear those anymore!!

For your food challenge I would say get some hummus and pita-heat up the pita-I get mini pitas and then smear some hummus on top and sprinkle with feta. I also love to make a quesadilla- put a littl olive oil in a pan place a small corn totilla flat is thr pan let it heat up, smear a little salsa on the tortilla then sprinkle with lowfat shredded cheese. Also, I love beef Jerky as a snack and Peanut Butter with crackers. I have a hard time digesting meat so I eat a lot of yogurt too. Mix in a little granola or some seeds or fresh fruit to change it up a bit. I love string cheese-best bariatric snack ever. The other cheese I like is the laughing cows-one of those and some crackers is good. Also, make some.tuna salad or.egg salad with.lite mayo. Get some variety in or you will be bored of food!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
