The 1st day of the rest of my life

I will be banded on 3-15-07, Dr. Oh will be banding me. I can't wait, but I'm scared too. It has been hard on the clear liquids before.

Hi

It can be hard to be on liquids, I have been on them for almost 2 weeks now, but I just keep thinking about the weight I will lose and I know it will be worth it in the end.

Magii:)

Hello Cindy and welcome to LBT! Keep chugging down those liquids and congrats on your upcoming surgery. It's the start of a wonderful journey!

Hey Cindy! I will be banded by Dr. Oh on 4/3/07. I hope everything goes smoothly for you. I have been going thru all the work before hand...all the tests and appointments. I can't wait to hear how things go for you!

Hi Cindy,

I had my surgery 4 weeks ago. The first week you need to recover, there is lots of stomach swelling that you really do not want anything else other than liquids. Broth with a little bit of fat free cream of chicken was heaven for me, that is what i craved. I started feeling dizzy and weak around day 3 so my doctor allowed me to have either fat free milk or soy milk ( fat free, sugar free). Do what you doctor tells you, if you start feeling weak call his office and ask you could add this or that, talk to them. You will be fine. Where is your surgery?

Jennifer, Have I seen you at any classes? Maybe on Monday the 5th @ the hosipital.

I'll let you know how it goes :(

You wil do fine! Just think of the liquids pre-op as a jump start to your goal. LapbanderNC is right, afterwards, the liquids will be plenty. I didn't want anything at all, not even the liquids, for almost 3 days. I had to force myself just to get in that chicken broth :0)

I was at the class at St Francis on Feb 5th! I bet I saw you there! How exciting! I have been in contact with another patient of Dr. Oh's who I met in his waiting room on my first office visit. It is great to have support and to know others who are going thru the same thing!! Let me know how everything goes for you!!:D
