What is the best food you could taste.

What is the best food anyone could eat with no problems.. nauseas or dumping? And how far from surgery was it?

After 2 weeks on liquids post op and I advanced to purée, I had a poached egg and it tasted like heaven....

Lol i feel you.. my first food was an egg too :)

Egg was my first. It was disappointing because I was still having taste issues - it tasted not right'. :-p

I do better with strong flavored foods like spicy re-fried Beans, spicy pepper hummus, spicy chili, anything w/chopped jalapeños, and sharp cheddar.

Mmmmm sounds good terry :)

I'm so over this liquid post-op diet already and I still have another week to go! The thing I'm looking forward to most on the next stage is - an egg :-)

Uk sleever make sure the egg is wet and moist with something..like ligth mayo..low fat cheese.. or something that you know is going nice and down to your pouch. Dry foods are our enemies at the begging of this process and it could be months to tolerate dry foods.. :)
