When did you guys start drinking regular coffee again?

My program didn't restrict coffee but I didn't start drinking until about 6 months post. I did however drink a coffee protein drink made by a company called Chike. It's awesome. 20 gm of protein 2.5 gm of sugar, 130 calls. It has real espresso. I am 2 1/2 yrs post RNY and still have a shake every morning. The company has other flavors as well and you can buy on Amazon.

Chike coffee flavored, Premiere shakes from Costco, injury chicken soup flavored and chocolate.
  3. My surgeon said people average 3-5 lbs per week. It was true for me. It slows as you get closer to your goal weight.

    300 calories a day?!

That was normal for me, but I focused on protein and was getting at least 60 gm per day.

    Week 3 Full liquids

My stables, FF Fage plain yogurt a tablespoon of sugar free strawberry jam, FF refried beans with FF cheddar cheese. Tuna with FF mayo. Put it in food processor, poached egg.
  12. One thing I learned from this process is that the time tables they give you don't always work for everyone. At 4 weeks I was still super tired and a little foggy. Went back to work at 6 weeks and was still pretty tired. 8 weeks was so much better. Food wise my stomach still isn't happy with some proteins. Make sure you get your protein, fluids in.

  16. I use the My fitness pal app to track everything that goes in my mouth. It can be very enlightening. If your calories are too low sometimes increasing them by 100-200 helps. Also, changing up your exercise can help. I also find drinking more fluids helps. If you can use the my fitness pal app. It's free and sometimes it can be an eye opener.

Check with your surgeon. I was on IV pain meds and so I had to take a liquid stool softener. Not allowed pills. I was OK to use Miralax.

How many grams of protein a day?

Protein 60-80 gm.plus at least 48 oz of fluid. I was up walking the evening after surgery. I didn't go too far though, only to the door. I got dizzy and light headed. You have to make sure the first time you walk with a nurse. Walking is the best way to get the anesthesia and gas out of your body.

Feel like im going to explote

A poached egg was better for me than scrambled. Maybe because with the wet yoke it's more moist.

    Protein Shakes

Isopure comes in many flavors. I don't care for the fruit punch flavored. Grape and peach mango are my favorites.
