  1. I know this should be the least of my concerns at the point in the game (I'm 5 weeks out), but going to the movies and getting an ICEE candy, and popcorn was always my special treat to myself duringy social outing. It didnt happen often so it really was a treat. Now, my friend and I, are doing thos really big special movie premiere (I'll be about 8 weeks)and I know I'm going to have a hard time coping not having anything I can really munch on. It doesnt help that my kryponite was chocolate prebypass. Does anyone have suggestions on foods I can bring in to satisfy my munch for the movie? Perhaps somthing you've had this far along you get at the theaters?
  2. Hello! I am three weeks out today and down 21lbs which is crazy exciting. With that being said, I'm moving to purees today (mush) and I cant help but worry because I'm already so thirsty all the time. I drink more than the required 48oz a day which really reduces my 3 meals a day because I'm so full from liquids. Ar first I thoight it was in my head but I even get bad cotton mouth if I dont drink all the time. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone have suggestions for how I can maintain meals since there is no drink I ng and earing at the same time?
  3. Hey fellow weight loss friends! I had my gastric bypass surgery on October 3rd, and a I'm now on full liquids. All I'm 'eating' is Creme of Wheat with Silk (light almond milk) because I am so done with broth of any kind. Does anyone have suggestions on different savory hot 'foods' I can eat? I'm a few days away from puree foods so I'm also looking for puree suggestions too! Thank you!
  4. Hey friendlies. Be careful with any of these protein shots whey or the generic form. My nutritionist had me try them post op. to get in my daily protein. I used thrm daily for 3 weeks and ended up with a diagnosis of diverticulitis. If you do take these id highly suggest doubling up on your fiber!!
  5. At this point a sip of Water keeps me full for hours. I will totally say yes to that one I feel full allbthe time but not too full just full; which is nice. My surgery was over 24 hours ago now does the anesthesia last that long with the nausea?
  6. Hey fellow friends of weight loss surgery. I got out of my Rny yesterday afternoon, and am in the hospital right now in recovery. On a bright side, I just got my catheter out (praise the lord) and, on the down side, I can't seem to drink enough liquids to keep the doc happy enough to discharge me. My walking is easy except its difficult to stand without getting naesous. Did anyone else have similar problems? How long were you in the hospital and what foods could you manange to tollerate and hold down? (I do understand everyone is different but suggestions never hurt.)
