Recommendations for stomach and thighs

Recommended Posts

Anybody out there that can make me some recommendations to get rid of my stomach and inner thighs some? I know eventually I'm going to get plastics but if I can make it less, that would be great! I'm down 90 pounds , from 250 to 160 and 10 pounds from goal. (Sleeved 07/2012) Currently in a size 6, but so tired of wearing these Spanx like things to keep me looking somewhat normal! Help!! ????

Susie....you can work your core with so many full body exercises, and inner thighs are really hit hard with sumo squats. But the experts all agree you cannot spot reduce fat. It's like draining a pool....the Water drains equally. Before my TT I really thought I still had an extraordinary amount of fat around my abdominal area. Turns out it was just excess skin posing as fat. I know your plastics are gonna make all the difference.

So that's my long winded way of saying stick with full body compound exercises for resistance training....and mix in some cardio. Think of exercise as refilling your life gas tank. Each little bit makes you healthier and extends your life.

Just curious how tall are you? (i keep comparing myself to people of similar starting weight as i'm trying to determine my expectations for excess skin)

"Sweetsusie"............like Butter stated, the compound lifts, core exercises and squats will be most beneficial. With that said, lifting can help some, especially with low to moderate loose skin, but with big loose skin issues.....it can only do so much. Are you noticing just a little loose skin? Also, how close are you to reaching goal or maintaining? If you've lost 90 so far and expect to lose say another 30-40 pounds....it's going to be challenging to avoid the loose skin. Basically, the more weight loss, the harder to build enough muscle to help fill in loose skin.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
