Multi-vit that doesnt make you puke?

Recommended Posts

I haven't had anything make me puke, but the only bouts of nausea I have had are when I take my multivitamin before eating. I always take it in the morning, but one morning I took it before making my Protein Shake. As I was shaking up my shake, I started to get that warm and not so fuzzy feeling. I quickly took a sip of my shake and laid down inky recliner. Took a couple lore sips and slowly felt better. So my tip is never take it on an empty stomach!

Bariatric Advantage capsules... the dose is six small capsules.. you can take all capsules at once for convenience but if you are sensitive, you can divide it into smaller doses and take with meals throughout the day.. there is no Iron in them so you can take them with your Calcium supplement without issue. For an iron supplement, I've found ferrochel to be excellent I take it before bed.

I take the Vitafusion Mulitvites - Gummy Vitamins. I've tried numerous others. Some make me gag and others just taste horrible. I'm doing pretty well with these and like them.

I've always taken the generic multi's from Sam's club, no problems with them. In the past, I took the premade packets of pills and it had a seperate Vitamin E capsule - I had to eat a little beforehand to keep from puking up the Vitamin E - some Vitamins need a little fat to be digested.

I used to always throw up Vitamins. I have no problem with nutrametrix multi powder. I also use their Calcium powder - mix them and take them at the same time. Highly absorbable isotonic Vitamin. Recommended by my NUT.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
