I am going to give you some easy quick foods that can be purchased to fill you up and I am inviting everyone else to add to that list. Beef Jerky cheese Stick Hard boiled eggs (You can buy these preboiled at the grocery store) Summer sausage tuna chicken salad almonds Premier Protein shakes SF Jello (not in the shot form :)) rotisserie chicken' date=' fish from the deli Subway chopped salad greek yogurt fruit melons and berries These are just a few but I hope others will add to this list. :)[/quote']

To add to the list:

Protein Bars (Quest bars and Oh Yeah bars are really good),

Pre-cooked shrimp, (or shrimp cocktail)

Deli turkey, ham, chicken,

Turkey franks,

Canned turkey chili (Hormels is good, but so is Wendy's),

Babybell cheese,

100 calorie packs of Emerald almonds - they have cocoa, vanilla and cinnamon coated.

All of these you can do without really cooking. A ready to drink Protein shake is a great Breakfast - Premier Protein, Muscle Milk (look for the highest Protein and lowest sugar/carbs. For one you mix - there are many and you can add protein by mixing with skim milk or even boosting the protein with powdered fat free milk.

Best of luck to you!!

That's a great attitude. Surely you won't be reaching out for help and expecting any.....oh wait.

Encouragement works better than criticism. At least he is reaching out for help. I want to say, "hang in there." You can do this. Take one day at a time. Make positive affirmations to yourself often; "I LOVE ME; I AM GREAT; I WILL SUCCEED!" I know you are a wonderful person, and have been doing great so far. I have gone through bumpy times after this surgery, and that includes eating too many things I know I should not eat, or maybe just having literally one sip of a drink, and could not drive home. Thank God we have this community for "support and encouragement."

Firstst of all I didn't say I read the first couple I saidv several and since you are so interested in everything I post ill tell u I read most of the first... It seemed know seems like a hundred posts. I don't know why you have picked me to start stalkingng today.. but please leave me alone. And if you had read the first page of posts. Your oppinion would probably be the same. Or maybe its because you know him personally.you can't post the stuff he posted and not get a response from those of us who are recently sleeved and working our asses off. Stop following me.

Because you just got sleeved you can run around here and spout bullshit?? As far as "working your ass off" perhaps you should get up and walk it around once in awhile, it might help...

And stalking you?

Please... Don't flatter yourself.

I assume you're a guy so I feel comfortable saying quit being a f**king b***h. Man up and focus on what is important in life. f**k college parties and drinking beer. Why'd you bother throwing cash and time away just to eatballvthe same **** you were?

I only read the first several posts and seriosly... you are an a** who doesn't deserve this gift. Get your head out of your a**! I'm sure someone at some point told you this was a tool and not a cure all. Sounds like instead of taking advantage of your tool you are being one.

A match made in heaven, you two. ;)

Sorry to go back to the original topic here, but beyond all of the other advice here.

If you are complaining about having to eat the cheap food, stop buying the alcohol and spend that cash to buy better quality food. It doesn't have to cost a lot to eat good, it takes thought and will power to make good decisions, like not buying bad things like Cereal and alcohol.

So Laura you're saying you can (right now) physically eat a box of cereal? See I thought the whole point of the sleeve was for you to NOT be able to do that!

Unfortunately for me' date=' Im living by myself so I dont have a husband (or in this case..a wife or s/o) that can cook me food :P[/quote']

Sliders... Sliders are food that are so mushed that they are almost like liquid and leave the stomach fast... ( put two cups of popcorn and two Tbs of Water in a processor and see how small you can make it.). "I thought the sleeve...". NO!! You can beat the sleeve and by doing so beat yourself. The sleeve is NOT magical and automatic. You have to work at it, and the first thing is to keep your head in the game.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
