I have my consultion this tursday for the sleeve.

I would like to know what's gonna happen next. They said my insurance BCBS federal was approved. And made me an appointment with the doctor. So what happens next. Dose this mean now the doctor has to approve me.??

I have Humana federal and it's a PPO. I was told bariatric surgery was covered and I made the initial consult with my surgeon, Dr. Gonzalez, in San Antonio, TX. I had two required nutrition, (NUT) appointments and I had to have a endoscopy, (Upper GI) to check for hiatel hernia.

Right now all I can do is pray that my insurance will approve the surgery.

Good luck on your journey and I wish you success.

Thank u. I'm hoping everything gets approved. I've been diabetic for 7 year and in and out of the hospital cause of my sugar levels being extremely high and I have high cholesterol and take insult. I thinking cause illness I'll be approved soon.. Fingers crossed.. Good luck to u .. And let me know if u get approved.

if the insurance is approved (I have federal BC/BS as well) it means that you only need to satisfy the surgeon's prep requirements! You are good to go!
