1 day post op

I have been walking, but am very sore everywhere. My back, my tummy... I do not know how I am going to stay hydrated with all of these baby sips.

Don't you have an IV? If so, that will hydrate you for now. Pain medication? If it is not helping enough, ask for something for "breakthrough" (that is the hospital lingo, as in "Can you ask the doctor for an order for breakthrough pain?").

It will get better. Best wishes.

I'm four days post-op and still taking the oxycodone. I tried to go with just Tylenol today, but it wasn't enough, especially since I wanted to get a 2 mile walk in.... Take enough to keep you comfortable - that's my motto! Good luck!

Taking enough pain medication to keep you comfortable allows you to drink more and walk more! Don't "grin and bear it!" Take the meds!!

And congrats on your surgery!
