I've been looking into the uses of coconut oil and man are they lengthy.

This stuff is a gold mine! Some that may interest y'all... Helps to tighten and regenerate skin cells, reduces wrinkles, curbs nausea, and when rubbed into the scalp daily it helps to regenerate hair cells for hair regrowth.

Google it, I'm sold :-)

Get the good stuff. I buy it by the gallon direct from the company. Nutiva- organic extra virgin coconut oil. I signed up for their Tuesday special to be emailed, and last week was a gallon for $50.00 and free shipping. Saved over 17.00. We use a lot of oil.

Nope, you want the food quality. It's the good stuff. It's the same as using olive oil on your skin :-)

I use mine mixed with sugar and a bit if salt to make a scrub. Love it. But I only use it for beauty as it is so high in saturated fats! Yikes!

How do you use it? Do you eat it or put it on your scars? hair? Any tips would be great. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm excited about it too, but I also have read that it is high in saturated fats. How does one use it for scars and Hair loss? Is it good for digestion? How?

I am a professional hair stylist if more than 20 years and yes it's awesome for hair growth..apply it to the scalp but don't use too much as to clog your pours. If you are Caucasian I would use it as a treatment prior to shampooing and go under a warm dryer for about 20 minutes. Or else you are going to have the greasies...Lol! Good Luck!!!

Yep that's exactly what I read too! Thank you!

And for scars, the scrub that was mentioned earlier. You can mix it with sea salt and/or sugar for a daily exfoliating scrub on scars and stretch marks.

For wrinkles and skin tightening just rub it in like lotion :-)

It is supposed to be good for digestion issues, but you do have to eat it for that benefit and it is really high in saturated fats, so I'm not sure I will use it for that purpose.

I put a tsp or so in my coffee every morning, I put a dab in my palms and use as face cream before bed, I make popcorn with it, I use it for hair conditioner, I've made homemade deodorant, I bake with it, I make candy with it, we use as a personal lubricant, good for diaper rash, can use with cloth diapers, Just Bing it. There are websites that tout the goodness. It is good for you. It is a MCO (Medium chain oil)and is good for the body. I swear it helps reduce the hot flashes. Linda

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
