I can walk for miles and walk up stairs without getting out of breath and without back pain.

I walked my dog in the late afternoon yesterday and my shadow is smaller.

No seatbelt extenders on four flights I took this month!

I donated five bags of big clothes, including two winter coats, to Goodwill yesterday.

NSV for myself: My swimsuit from last year was literally falling off me when I put it on two weeks ago. I had to go out and buy a few new ones.

They were stretchy capri pants - I don't even care - they were a medium and I am very happy. :) Thank you all so much for your support :)

I went down two sizes in underwear. I was forced to buy new panties when my old ones fell down at my surgeon's office.

I remember the first time I posted on here about how thrilled I was when my undies sagged so much I had to buy new ones. I think I was up to a 13. My 9s are now starting to sag....

I had a NSV yesterday, usually when I go jogging I usually have to walk for a small amount and then start jogging again. I do that about every 10 minutes. Well yesterday I jogged for 40 minutes without walking. I was so proud of myself.

I also had the undies issue a few weeks ago. I was wearing a size 10 at the time. I was changing into another outfit and my husband started laughing and said I needed to go shopping. They were so big on me and I didn't even notice. Wearing size 8 now.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
