How do you deal with social situations after WLS?

I have been fairly open about having the surgery, however, there are a few people that I encounter in my life that I do NOT want to know. How do you deal with a social situation where people are eating, when you know you have to watch what/how much you eat, and cannot drink while eating? I'm afraid that situation may come up soon, and I'm not sure what to say/do at this point.

I haven't had to explain to anyone myself. However I would say I have built my metabolism up by eating very small healthy meals but eating more frequently like every 2-3 hours. Also that I limit fluids while eating as to not get full on liquids.

That is a great idea, but I still think we all need to drink as much water as we can...very important..(I have a hard time with that one too)
