You can try doubling the liquid' date=' but if that doesn't do it you may just have to try another flavor. I suggest the unflavored and then you can mix it in something that you know you like the taste of.[/quote']

Where can I find the unflavored?? I need to make a trip to GNC lol. Then I can add some too good too!!

I don't know where you live, but here the Walmart has an unflavored whey Protien Isolate, GNC definately has it and Unjury also makes one...Good Luck!!

Anyone have ideas for not sweet Protein Shakes? ?? I bought some strawberry smoothie powder and mix it with skim milk so that's 38g of Protein but it's too sweet!!! I can barely get it down!! I have tried adding Greek yogurt to it and cottage cheese but didn't help :(
I just tried Unjury unflavored protein mixed with Soups. I hate sweet, but like the savory. So for a cup of Lipton chicken Soup broth- low sodium I added a half of a scoop to the soup. You cannot taste the protein so it is just chicken broth. Also last night I added half of a scoop to a half of a cup of vegetable soup broth ( I am only on fluids right now) Just a caution. Only add your protein to liquids below 140 degrees F. Anything hotter will denature the protein and will be super yucky!!

I am officially part of the slow losers! I'm also in the three week stall. Seriously don't know how stalls are possible on 600 cal/day! The good thing is that I can't throw my diet to the wind like I would before on a stall. Glad to finally have a BM. How stupid is that? LOL! It seems like I go from one issue to another. Now I'm having a lot of pain in my lower left side, especially when bending over and getting up and down. I guess I might have over done it. Emailed the doctor's office and they told me to come in if it gets worse. Ready to feel better!!

A week and a half ago, I noticed a sharp pain in my lower left side that started getting worse while I was driving to work. I suspected it was because I was wearing slightly too tight jeans. So I went home and changed. All of a sudden I was overwhelmingly tired, so I went to bed and slept for 3 hours. When I woke I considered calling the doctor, but something told me that this was very temporary, so I just rested for the remainder of the day. I slept that night as normal and woke up the next day just fine. I have no idea why I had the pain all of a sudden. I guess it could have been the jeans. But I'm glad that I listened to my body and rested that day.

Hopefully you'll feel good as new tomorrow! Take it easy.

It looks like you are following my steps... I had that Constipation issue going from week 2 to 3.. I also got the same pain... My doc told me to give it a week and let him know if it didn't go away, but the pain decresed a lot, i still have some pain but it is not as bad, i also had 1 week stall but let me tell you Measure yourself... During that time you will shrink more than ever... Good luck Cheryl!! I will be a month out on nov 09 . So far i have lost 23 pounds... Feeling happy.

Ok I have a new pain in my stomach that just brought me to tears and the pain meds aren't touching it. I'm about 3 weeks post op. It's a new pain that started yesterday. It's like a burning sensation and it comes and goes but this episode I just had lasted a lot longer. It hurt to take a breath or anything!!! Freaked out!! Let me know if anyone else has had this.

I have that burning sensation but it is not all the time... Only when I do certain movements or standing up...

Just freaks me out cuz I'm 3 weeks out so I thought I was about done with pain. I went ahead and called my surgeons office after hours and talked to a doc on call. She said I don't have a fever and I'm not nauseous or anything and I've been following the diet and doing everything right with no other problems. But if it gets so bad and I just feel like something is wrong to go to the ED so they can do scans and stuff. Otherwise I could wait til tmw and call my surgeons office to schedule an appt with them. My other issue is I'm going to the P!NK concert tmw in Chicago!!!! I paid a lot of money to go and I'm going dammit lol

I'm super hungry right now. Nothing taste right and I am so sick and tired of jello!! When did everyone get cleared for full liquids and puréed food? I'm one week post tomorrow.

My doc made me do 3days Clear Liquids, then 2 weeks of full liquids (protein shakes an liquids), then I can start 3weeks of puréed foods, 3 weeks of soft foods then solid foods. It's a very conservative approach by I'm glad because it's gentle on the pouch and I've had zero problems so far......of course I'm still in the full liquid stage

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
