Pre-op diet seems very extreme. Anyone else?

My pre-op diet is an all liquid diet that lasts 7 days. We have to get in at least 64 oz of water and can have unlimited sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles. But they limit our protein to 20 grams a day! So one diet drink and a cup of chicken broth each day and that's it! I am on day 2 and having headaches and dizziness. Also a complete bitch lol. I'm amazed that they haven't had anyone pass out during this. Anyone else on a crazy pre-op diet? And how are you doing with it?
