I'm two months and I just started eating wraps. Im really try to stay away from carbs so I found some wraps that only have 5 net carbs. Be careful when choosing wraps or tortillas because some of them can have as many or more carbs then bread. Same with fat content. My nut also said I could have sandwich thins but like I said I'm staying away cause the carbs are too much.

I think I was allowed toasted whole wheat bread at 6 weeks 3-4 weeks later I could add tortillas.

I have found that bread can be tough to get down unless it is toasted.

So these are my preferred tortillas and bread. I can eat 1 small tortilla or 1 slice of bread (toasted or unloaded) without issue.

As you can see, the tortillas are 80 calories, 13 carbs, but 9 are Fiber, zero sugar, and 3 grams of Protein.

The bread is 40 calories, 9 carbs, 3 of which are Fiber, 1 gram of sugar, and 2.5 grams of Protein per slice.

I eat probably on average 1 tortilla or 1 slice of bread a day.

Always follow your plan, just thought I'd show you what I've discovered, through trial and error, that I like and that irks within my guidelines.

@SoccerMomma - Thanks for sharing! I'll have to look for the Carb Balance Tortillas. Are they in the refrigerator section or in the regular section with the taco shells?

I can only tolerate it if it's toasted.

Actually by the bread and English muffins. One of my go-to dinners when my son is gone is a tortilla with scrambled egg, cheese, and salsa. Quick and not too bad for ya! Or a tortilla with retried Beans, pre-cooked chicken, cheese, and salsa... I'm all about easy when I'm kidless!

I use those same tortillas exactly! They sit fine but I can't even finish one! I have some Mexican melting cheese that I will use cold and slather inside the tortilla. I sometimes just eat that but can't even finish it all.

In the hospital recently they gave me a piece of white toast... Did fine with that. I tried a piece of whole wheat toast and it made me sick. For some reason white bread sits better though I almost never eat it. Only the tortillas and even those I don't do often.

My sons favorite lunch is now a tortilla with laughing cow cheese and turkey rolled up in it and dunked in salsa so we go through a pack of tortillas a week! No complaints, it's low fat and reasonably high Protein so I'll keep feeding him! Wal.mart always seems to have them, although I did buy 1 size up once....but too big for me!

I used to eat laughing cow a lot but strangely I haven't had any since surgery. I do need to pick some up and try it with the tortillas or the pretzel thins. I tried pretzel thins last week for the first time and I'm loving those right now. I eat them once a day with cheese for a crunchy Protein (from cheese) snack.

I started eating one small tortilla with my breakfast egg about 1 year or more post op. Generally I don't like bread that much.

I wish I didn't like surgery. Pre op I would bake 2 loaves of sourdough a week and eat them both with a stick of butter. Yum!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
