Only under the breast so far and I'm using Gold Bond Spray powder.< /div>

Take pictures of any rashes to document invade you need or want to have plastic surgery. I have heard if you have continued rashes that insurance will sometimes pay for it. It's worth letting it look bad for a bit to get some pictures.

Great advice for all of us!

Luckily my insurance is one that does this :) My dr told me to take my pics and print them off for her and she'll scan them into my file.

I feel like I'm making the wrong choices lately. Today I had three French fries and the other day at my brothers birthday lunch I went crazy and had like 8 sweet potato fries and some lemon soufflé cake. It so hard to say no to things sometimes. The head hunger is really starting to kick in and it's amazing how powerful it is. I know tomorrow's another day and I can always start over but I just wish I could get over it and for it not to present ALL THE TIME. This is the hardest thing I've ever done. Thanks for listening to me vent.

I like to look at it this way...

You had three french fries. You did not go eat an entire plate of them. nor did you eat an entire cake. I think as long as you are watching in moderation, and enjoy a treat every once in a while... I don't see it as a bad thing. When dieting before, when I would eliminate certain foods and not allow myself to indulge, that is what led me to over indulge and binge. I had 1 peanutbutter cup last night. I did not eat an entire bag.... nor did I want an entire bag, that is a great feeling!

DON'T beat yourself up! We've come a LONG way :)

To those who have arthritis... Have you noticed it's getting worse since surgery? Also what are you taking since we can't have NSAIDs. My hips are getting worse an the choice between Tylenol (that does nothing) or a narcotic is a scary one for me. I really want to be on a narcotic for the rest of my life but I have noticed my hips are getting worse. Maybe from all the exercise?

I don't know if it's arthritis, but my knees hurt, I do think it is from the more active life style, but I'm living and i love it! My pain isn't so intolerable that I need pain meds. I've lived with horrible back pain for so long... 2 surgeries... lived on loratab 10s (2 every 3 hours) and I'm so glad that is behind me for now!

So yesterday was Halloween and I didn't even have one piece of candy! In the past I would have eaten at least a dozen! The trial and error over the past few months has taught me that its just not worth it. I've been working a second job so I think that has helped keep my mind off food. Looking into dance classes for me and my daughter today. I hate the gym. What are you guys doing as far as exercise? Any suggestions for things not gym-related?

Dance class sounds like fun. Honestly I haven't done any structured exercise since I had surgery. I know, awful, right! But I work at a car dealership and walk about an average of 3 miles a day around the lot. But I danced ballet for about 13 years in my pre-overweight days and absolutely loved it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
