Update .... Work is going well with my eating. My principal had the sleeve done 2 weeks before me and we are good friends so it is nice to have someone in the building working through a similar process. Everyone in the bldg keeps calling us "skinny Minnie" the fist day back my assistant kept making me stop mid sentence and telling me " your going to have to start over because I can't even focus on anything except how great you look!" Awesome compliment !

ALSO for the first time since surgery I was able to hit my Protein goal of 80 grams yesterday! It made a huge difference in how I felt AND lost 3lbs over night :)

surgery date 6/11/13 HW: 364lbs. SW: 335.5 CW: 299 GW: 150

That is wonderful Sarah Beth! And Kudos for hitting your protein goal! Can you share what you did to hit it? I'm still struggling with that.

Is anyone else having trouble getting veggies in? I know the order is Protein veggies carbs but I feel like I should be eating more veggies for some reason. Some days the only thing I have with vegetables is Tomato sauce.

I was thinking the same thing. I am so focused on protein that veggies are not happening. This seems to go against everything I've been told my entire life..."gotta eat your veggies!"

My weight loss has still been sluggish. I've lost 1 lb. in 2 weeks, BUT I measured my waist today and it's 1 1/2 inches smaller than it was only 7 days ago! Yay!

I usually have a salad for lunch and a v8, but, yeah, I could use more veg.

I concentrate on protein at meals but try to get in veg and fruit as Snacks. Or, I add protein to my veggies - now that I can eat salad I'll put 2-3 oz of meat on a half a cup of salad veg! You'd be surprised how much salad you can eat. My NUT explained it like what happens to spinach when you cook it! Shrinks down to no volume.

Report on the Ensure high Protein shake: pros- doesn't smell funny, not too sweet, 25 g of protein, 5 g of sugar, 2.5 g fat, really good numbers, cons-it's big, 14 oz, so it takes some time to get down.

I can't seem to do the powders anymore so I've been searching the premades and this one and the Glucerna hunger smart ones are working for me.

Try going to big lots if any in your area I purchased a four pk of Protein Shakes for $4.50 , it a few dollars cheaper than wal mart. My dr suggested getting them thrre.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
