Hi everyone! I don't post on here too often, but I check in from time to time. Today marks my 1 month post surgery. I am doing well. I am down 22 lbs since surgery and 57 lbs since January 1st. I went

So i had my first vomiting/regurgitation experience last night after work. I had two strawberries and ate them too fast. It's a very odd feeling. I got that stuck feeling followed by "frothing" so tons of spit. Vomiting felt more like burping and the undigested food slid right up. I have been TERRIFIED of vomiting since surgery. I know logically I wouldn't mess anything up' date=' but fears aren't always logical! I had nightmare visions of tearing everything apart inside and vomiting my stomach out! Crazy. Thank goodness it was nothing like that!

I too am terrified of vomiting. I know it will hurt so bad! I sneezed the other day, and started crying, it hurt the left side so bad. I thought I was gonna vomit a few days ago, but I just held it in and took papaya enzymes. I so scared.

It happens all the time. I seem to be one of the slowest losers here myself (only 14 lbs in over a month...) but day to day fluctuations of a couple pounds are totally normal for anyone. They can have to do with water intake/retention' date=' bowel movements, our special time of the month... Don't freak out, just stick to the plan. Get your liquids and your protein. That's what I'm trying to do everyday!

It is normal, but frustrating! I thought I would lose faster cuz I am bigger to start, but no dice!

I'm two and a half weeks out and had lost almost 15 lbs. I weighed myself this morning and found that I've *gained* a pound. Has this happened to anybody else yet? I'm staying within my portion sizes and still on the stage 3 soft protein diet.

I have onlu lost 12lbs I tought I lost more but my home scale is crap

It feels very different now. I've been very lucky with pain, but even this wouldn't have hurt a week or two out for me. It isn't that heaving feeling that you used to associate with throwing up. It's very small and starts from up higher. Really just felt like burping!

Thank you for sharing that. I've been trying hard to stay positive and not compare myself to others too much, but it definitely gets frustrating seeing people have so much more success in less time than I have!

I think it happens to all of us. My doctor actually told me not to weigh myself at home for the first three months, to just wait for my weigh ins at my appointments. He said there is a lot of fluctuation and there can be stalls that can be discouraging so if you don't weigh it shouldn't affect you ecause you won't know.

Everyone seems to have a lot of pain on the left side.. I have not experience that. My surgery had been pretty much pain free and my left incision which was tge biggest I've had yet to heal, other wise internally I don't feel like anything happened to me

I haven't gone # 2 since my surgery on the 29th is that normal? Sorry for TMI!

My dr said by day 4 if no BM to take milk of magnesia and it worked ...i still cant go unless i take it so every 3-4 days i do

Ok found the BEST aide for an embarrassing issue .....since surgery ive not been able to wipe myself after going to the bathroom and my hubby has to do it for me ....well he had to back to work today and my biggest worry was he would leave for work and i would get diarrhea and be stuck on the toilet all day...i was so upset and telling my beat friend the other day and she told me about a long reach comfort wipe its sold at walgreens for $7.99 ...i didnt think it would work but figured id try anything and guess what IT WORKS! !!!! wish i wouldve known of this sooner my husband has been great but its very humiliating needing him to do that for me and this thing is wonderful and to think it was 8 bucks!

I have the same problem...but i remembered watching a youtube video of someone talking about all the things you must have after RNY surgery. Tongs (steak turners) was one of the items. That's what i've been using when i go to the bathroom. If i come across her video again i will post it.
