Well today is a GREAT day! The scale finally moved downward for me! Was stuck at 208-210 for weeks. Today was at 205!!!! Only six more pounds until ONDERLAND!! I'm beginning to realize that if I whine about being stuck for long enough, the scale will move! LOL. ;)

I don't post much but I follow you bc we seem to be on the same track. I've been stuck on 208-210 for about two months. Idk what in doing wrong just downright frustrated. But seeing u unstuck gives me a ill hope. Lol. Congrats

Help. Friends help. I am freaking out and all alone!

So a week ago i was diagnosed with hectic bronchitis. GP booked me off and put me on antibiotics. As well as cortisone.

Although the terrible chest pain went away, i still felt sickish.

So through this whole week of meds and sick, of course i became constipated again.

But i was hardly eating and didnt realise it ad much.

So Monday my meds were done but still not feeling fine.

Took a laxative, nothing happened.

Took laxatives again yesterday, nothing happened. However i did start getting the feeling that i have trouble to pee. And my mouth is burning up, my tongue and insides as if acid was thrown on it - very weird.

So today i went back to work for first time. Took laxative again and really got worried now. And at long last it felt like a hippo morphing from my body - very painful and rockhard stool (sorry). There was some blood involved. And i continued to go throughout the day - now only sluggish mud with some blood it seems.

Do you think the blood is from when i hurt myself with that hippo? I hope so and hope it is not an ulcer.

I am also quite feverish and feeling a bit nauseous and just really unwell. Plus I am itchy in my lady parts. And my mouth is burning!

Is it perhaps because i wasnt given Probiotics?

I got some Probiotics now. Will it help friends?? Is there something else i also need to take? I am very freaked out.

Has any of you been on heavy antibiotics and cortisone post op??

Please give me some advice!

How are you all doing with the Vitamins? Are you still taking Bcomplex or B12? One of my coworkers said she only did it for the first year. I still do Protein shakes, but I am trying to get most Protein from real food. I think that is one of the problems, I want to eat regular food, but can't eat much of it, so I can't get a lot of Protein. Today, we're snowed in(2-3 inches), so I'm making chili. That will last a month! I guess I'll freeze it.

You probably have a bit of a yeast infection from the antibiotics. I'd call the dr and see what to do. I haven't been on antibiotics since surgery at all. My guess is that the blood was because you were so constipated and the stool was so hard. It happens to me at times. We have some nasty flu stuff going around here where I live and I thank God I haven't caught it. My daughter was quite sick with it. Nice to hear from you but sorry you aren't feeling well! Hope you're on the mend soon my friend!

I think we take the Vitamins forever right?! I still take b12 once a week and all of the others as well. I have been making chili every other week. We love it and since my son had the sleeve and i had the bypass, it is a good high protein meal we can both eat well. Where r u that you are snowed in with 2-3 inches?? LOL. Here in WI we brush that off with a broom! ;)

RNY's take Vitamins for life.

In my program they teach us that Vitamin B is very important for healthy brain function. B deficiency will result in irreversible and permanent loss of brain function. When stressing the importance of a lifelong vitamin regimen they gave us an example of a young professional woman who stopped taking all her vitamins, including B, when she lost the weight she wanted. She eventually, over time, became mentally disabled and was unable to work. If a tiny little vitamin each day is so important then I'm taking it as directed.

I'm in North Carolina, you know, the state that has everything: mountains, beaches, city and country life! A few inches of snow in the wrong parts of the state will shut down everything! We are not prepared for it, we don't have the equipment or resources. We have missed 2 days of school so far, and will miss again tomorrow until they clear all roads. I know, too funny!

Where are you in NC. I'm in Concord. I'm ready for the weather to break so I can get outside again. I don't do well in the cold.

I'm in Raleigh. I've gone outside, had to go to Rite Aid to pick up a prescription. The main roads are fine, its the secondary roads that will keep the students out of school tomorrow. I still have to go in! Be safe, you guys got more snow than we did, I'm sure.

Wow! I agree that snow in places where you dont have the right equipment can be bad! I was seeing that Atlanta had snow troubles too. Must be exciting for the kiddos though! ;) Be safe!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
