7 weeks post up and I'm down 36 lbs. Feeling much better and definitely more active because I'm not as out of breath as you used to be. I just have to thank all of you because this space gives me such inspiration though I may not respond to everything' date=' I do read it daily and it definitely helps me work through all the changes going on physically and mentally.[/quote']

Congrats on your weight loss

Thank you Krystal

I love watching the scale go down because without this surgery I would still be big

My surgery was 4/29/13' date=' and I am only down 18 lbs. The scale is just not moving. Went to bariatric support meeting tonight. Talked to nutritionist a bit. She said I am doing everything right, and to hang in there, the weight will eventually come off. She said because I had 5 surgeries that day of my RNY, I may still be healing. She also said by 8 weeks most patients typically lose 30-40 lbs. Well, I am 6.5 weeks out and still at 18 lbs. I feel discouraged but am trying to have a positive attitude.[/quote']

I'm sorry your dealing with that she's prob right its because your insides have so much to heel from

Hey all! Hope everyone is well. Been a crazy week. Threw up twice' date=' both this week, but I guess that isn't that bad since I am 7 weeks out and was doing great. I ha e only lost a total of 31.5 lbs since surgery. My highest weight was 391, and I am at 317 now. All this weight lose happened since February! I can't believe it!!! Finally had to break down and buy a few clothes to get me to the next stage. Oh, and I went for a walk and felt so good that I actually started to jog for almost a mile. That is a major accomplishment for me!! It was 114 degrees when I went though but the whole ability to do it was awesome![/quote']

Fantastic. Feels good to have extra energy doesnt it.

Yikes! I am 10 weeks post-op and my hair just started coming out. :-( I was hoping I would be one of the lucky ones and not have the Hair loss. I started taking all my Vitamins plus Biotin 2 weeks before surgery in the hopes of keeping it all. Guess there is no way around this. :-(

I went for a check up yesterday and I'm down 44lbs YAY!!! I Also met with a diff dietician yesterday than I've been seeing and a diff dr ( just because of scheduling) I've seen them both in the past before rny.....wellllll they both told me that the other dietician was being TOO strict and gave me a ton more food options they told me that I was supposed to start raw veggies salads and fruit 2 weeks ago...I was so mad especially when I found out the other dietician put her notes that she told me my new foods I was allowed

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
