Are you really hungry or is your new stomach just making noise?? I have read people experience noise after surgery. Hang in there' date=' ask the doc to see what he/she thinks.[/quote']

I never knew something so small could make that much noise. Mine I swear was barking earlier today

Janel' date=' don't know what we a going to do with you! Lol. You are making us on a liquid diet so jealous! I have liquids for 4 weeks!! We should have all come down and had surgery with you,!![/quote']

mayo is the only way to go. There were other medical issues he took care of at the same time. But you've seen those commercials Mayo fixed it for me. I AM going to find a way to do their next commercial.

I just sip water pretty much all day. I have a big refillable bottle and I know by the end of the day I need to drink 2 of them. I'm 6 days out also, but my doctor hasn't started any Protein shakes yet....I'm sure that is going to make it more difficult. Make sure you are using shakes with the most protein you can get.

Hey everyone! I'm about 14 hours since my surgery. Pain is bearable. I think i fought nausea more than anything. Lots of Zofran and Phenegren. I'm so happy to be done! I have a Blake drain and a g tube. Left incision under my breast hurts the most. Doing my deep breathing and coughing and anti blood clot exercises. Thanks for you prayers and you better believe Ill return the favor. Hugs to everyone!! Blessings to the who go in today.

I think it depends on the surgeons. I didn't have one. The only thing I had when I came out was just a "Q ball" pain ball. All that is are tiny catheters that are hooked up on the outside to a ball with liquid pain meds in it.

Sounds like its going well. Hope everything else goes great! I couldn't get rid of that 'thirst' feeling until I got home and could drink as much as I wanted.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
