What has really helped me tonight is putting a few pillows on the bed, and leaning my stomach into them to cough or try to pass gas. OMG, it has worked wonders! Not a pleasant topic but figured I would share what worked for me. It felt so good just to have the pressure on my tummy, I just wanted to stay there. Hahaha not really a great thing to see, but man it sure felt good while I could stay there. Hope everyone is doing well.

The left side pain is still pretty bad but everything else is manageable. I feel okay, tired of liquids too!! Especially with the two weeks prior liquid diet, now this. I am on the full liquids but it is the shakes that I am struggling with. Are you getting them down okay? I think it hurt when it was cold.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to say good luck to those going in tomorrow and looks like those who have had surgery already are doing great. These next ten days can't go by fast enough. Preop appt on Monday 4/22 and liquid diet starts Friday 4/26. What are some questions to ask at preop. I feel like with everything that has gone on in my life the last few weeks I can't think to make this list.

Hey everyone, I've been sleeping and trying to get rid of the gas! No pain, only the discomfort from not having a BM until tonite. Not really discomfort, just because I was so regular before I was freaking out a little. I'm going in tomorrow to the store to exchange some of the liquid stuff for more of the Jello and/soup, I like those better. It makes you feel like you're eating something. Good luck to everyone this week and I look forward to hearing more from April Divas!

I am starting week 3 of the Optifast liquid diet. 4 shakes a day and only Water, chicken broth or diet Jello. Surgery next Friday 26th. Have lost 17 lbs so far but am so surprised that I am not starving. Getting more nervous regarding surgery but am also excited. Fingers crossed.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
