  1. Good luck to you. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
  2. Do you think it might be the antibiotic that is making you feel sick? If you wait an hour or so after you take your medication maybe that will help. Hope you feel better soon. Linda
  3. Good luck on this new and wonderful journey.
  4. I am 3 weeks out today and have been stalled for 3 days. Not sure how long it will last but if it wasn't for all the information on this site I would be worried. Instead I feel it is part of the journey. Good luck to you.

  6. Good luck. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
  7. I too am a type 2 diabetic. My sugar was pretty well regulated with medication and insulin but found I was insulin resistant and gained 5 or more pounds per month for the past 18 months. I had RNY last Friday 26th April for the same reasons as you are. I have not had to take insulin since surgery and am on minimal meds right now. Sugar is higher than I hoped but they say that is to be expected at the beginning. Good luck to you.
  8. Good luck to everyone going today. I only have 2 days left then my turn. My nerves are getting the better of me too but I am ready.
  9. Good luck to everyone today and this week. Sending hugs and healing thoughts.
  10. I am relieved to hear other people being nervous also. My surgery is Friday and as much as I know I am doing the right thing for many reasons (diabetes, weight, fibromyalgia) it is starting to make me a bit crazy. Somehow knowing others feel the same way makes me feel better. Sending good thoughts to all.
  11. I am 55 and my surgery is next Friday, April 26th
  12. I am starting week 3 of the optifast liquid diet. 4 shakes a day and only water, chicken broth or diet jello. Surgery next Friday 26th. Have lost 17 lbs so far but am so surprised that I am not starving. Getting more nervous regarding surgery but am also excited. Fingers crossed.

  16. Hi, I am from Borden Ontario(near Barrie). My surgery is April 26th at Humber hospital. I am anxious, excited and getting more nervous. I know it is the right thing for me. Wonderful to have other Canadians to talk to.
