You're a rebel!!!!

I'm all about lifestyle changes and taking advantage of the tool we've been given. I truly am, so I hope no one takes this wrong. Yup I really would prefer to learn how to eat healthy but also realistically. I want to be able to eat a couple bites of pizza or birthday cake, or cheese dip...I don't want to be able to eat 6 slices of birthday cake, 1/2 a pizza, or a gallon of ice cream!

Same here! I found out, sadly, that my body which cannot yet handle scrambled eggs, can do just fine with chocolate chip Cookies. It was such a wake-up call, I have decided that for me it will be better to just learn to say "I don't eat that" to certain things. I did have a piece (about an inch by half an inch) of pizza the other day, and could honestly say it did nothing for me. Also, I've discovered that I prefer my coffee with cream and nothing else, rather than with sweetener. I don't really miss the sugar. Which is amazing. I'm sorry I'm rambling. We each have to make our own choices, but we can't go back to the habits that brought us here!

I screwed up today. I tried rice and green Beans. And a didn't get sick. I wish I would have. I feel like I've already failed.

I hear ya, but don't beat yourself up. As I recall, it takes about 3 days to get back into ketosis.

I am a goof! I accidentally posted this in march! Anyways hello everyone. I had surgery 2/13/13 and I am down 38 lbs.

Hi! Welcome to the group!!

Monkey' date=' LOVE the profile picture!!!! Love it love it love it!!!! RV! Welcome to February, or March, take your pick! Your weight loss is fabulous!!!!!!

I went to outback for dinner, got soooo queasy coming home I thought I was gonna die....dunno if it was dinner or I got car sick but bleh!!! However, my grilled scallops were the bomb and the 2 bites of asparagus I had we're delicious. My friend (who wants to be more than a friend....why can't the men in my life get straightened out???) had an 11 oz steak, added a lobster tail and coconut shrimp, and scallops and ate every bite of his sweet potato with brown sugar and butter and drowned his salad in thousand island, ate the entire loaf of bread and had at least 5 or 6 sweet teas....I was horrified.....I estimate without the tea he was well over 2000 calories, at least.

So, my zofran and I are off to bed! Have a good one!!!

In my speed deprived state last night I asked my husband to bring me a hot fudge banana shake. I drank 1/3 of a small size then was in the bathroom 30 min later. Lets just say I was completely cleaned out!

I ate an orange segment yesterday also, then chewed another one and spit it out- then puked up the first orange segment.

My dad said he was unable to ever puke when food was stuck. I'm so glad I don't have that problem and can get it out!

My husband cooked stuffed zucchini boats for supper last night. Mushrooms, onions, bacon, cheese and egg were in them! It was so DELISH and I didn't get sick! I was able to eat about a 4" slice of it!

So I'm having issues with my Protein drinks... Yesterday I tried my chocolate flavored whey drink with PB2 and I got sick...didn't throw up thank goodness, but it knocked me out of commission for the whole day. I was wondering when the time comes has anyone had Protein Bars instead of the powder...I just can't handle the drinks. They're like torture to me.

I had one this week....I'm having a hard time with the higher protein bars having higher calories and carbs so I'm having a hard time finding what I want.

This protein is the toughest thing to me... Most of the time I'm not even hungry so it's like I'm forcing myself to do eat...and then I feel sick.

Can you eat soft food yet? I can't tolerate any of the shakes-- they make my face sweat and then I have to run to the bathroom. I do fine with plain milk, but not the shakes.

I am getting a lot of protein from soft turkey meatballs, soft fish, chicken, hummus, custards.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
