Feeding frenzy pre op

Recommended Posts

I want to kick myself in the butt. I was down to 223 lbs from 249 lbs 10 data ago. How in the hell did I gain 9 lbs since then? I have been doing some extra snacking and find myself at long John silvers yesterday with eaters regret after I downed a meal there. Someone please yell at me and tell me to get back on track. My next weigh in pre op is march 4th so I gotta hop to it! What is wrong with me??????

You'll be fine, but GET YOUR BUTT BACK ON TRACK!!!!!!! You do NOT wanna be one of those that gets postponed because the surgeon decides you're not taking this seriously!!!!! (PS you CAN do this!!!)

We all have regrets and weak moments, but you need to jump back on the bandwagon! Do you want this surgery and to get healthy or do you want to stay overweight and be sick? You can do this!!! Be strong! Every day is a choice. =)

Mishab I can totally relate! Yesterday I had a particularly stressful day at work so I went out with co-workers for lunch instead of eating the healthy lunch I packed . I ate a hot turkey sandwich complete with mashed potatoes and gravy! Argh! Today is a new day and I am going to pick myself up and move forward. I didn't get here by making healthy food choices. In the past I would have started down the road of why bother- it won't work blah blah blah. I'm not going to do that this time. We can do this!

I too I'm on my high Protein solid food diet and it its very hard. I have given in a fee times but when i do i try and make slightly better decisions then before. Just little steps. Do not deprive yourself during a craving our something because then if you give in later it will be worse!

I saw i great quote on pinterst:

one bad meal doesn't make you fat, just like one healthy meal doesn't make you skinny!

Get up and do it!!!!!!! Message me for encouragement

Great quote! I'm hoping to have surgery in April or May. My insurance requires a 3 month diet and I have to have 4 monthly nut apps. How about you?

I just got off the treadmill. Which even with all the waiting I have been doing , I have actually been doing religiously. Feeling more in control today. One if you said stress at work was a trigger for you. Well I think that has been mine the past couple weeks. I snack to deal with and avoid work. I gotta find a replacement for the eating. Maybe walk around where I work instead of walking to the cafeteria? I think that's a start.

I was hoping for April but May is probably more realistic. Either way it will come fast :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
