Cost of Fills

Question: I was banded in October and my insurance paid for it...I have had 2 fills (the last one this past Thursday) I just got a letter from my INS company that they are dropping my coverage (long story) and now I am going to have to pay for fills myself. I havn't got to call the DR's office to find out how much it will cost and It's driving me bananas not knowing what I am in for. So my question would be does anyone pay for their fills? And if so about how much do they cost. I know it will probably vary by state I am in NY but just want an idea. Thanks in advance, I am hoping I will feel better once I know.

Hi. I'm going to self pay mine will be $ 150 . I heard some start at $95 and they go up from there 2-3 hundred..just check around on line.good luck

My fills are free for the first year, and then I think they cost about $150 after that. From what I've read on other posts, that seems about average--$150 to $200. Sorry to hear about your ins dropping you. Good luck!

mine are 200 for the fill and 77 for the office visit. I am going to do some checking on where I can get filled close. Seems kinda steep to me

I pay $100 for mine, $130 for the cab ride roundtrip and $110 for my flight... ~Raynie

Some doctors will do free fills forever. Unfortunetly I I didn't have one of those. I was banded in Mexico and the local doctors I have found arent cheap. I have had 2 fill @ $375.00 those are under fluoro. A different doc does fills with no fluoro for 250.00. Good luck, maybe your doc has included fills for life.
