I started on page one of this thread' date=' and I was surprised how many people had fallen off this list here and there. I'm so sorry. I don't know how that's happened, but I've tried my best to include EVERYONE, even those who don't have a date yet. So if you don't see your name let me know, if you have a date change, I'll change it on the list. No problem![/quote']

Thank you so much for what you do for us. It helps for us all to stick together thru this journey.

My date was finally rescheduled to march 19th. Woohoo.

Very nervous, on my way now for my preoperative tests, meeting with all the doctor's, bloodwork and the script for the liquid diet. I'll give an update at the end of my 10 hour ordeal. Its realistic now.

Welcome and congrats! First day of my liquid diet...7:30 pm...both shakes and my meal down...still hungry. Hope I have your strength on my 4th day.

I've found I have to keep myself busy and not think about it. Head hunger is a blip....but I keep telling myself I'm not really hungry it's in my head. Everyday gets a little easier. Good luck!

So I called my doctor yesterday to ask about my preop liquid diet. I was told to lose 10lbs and do the liquid diet to shrink my liver. They were very vague when I was asking what I could have (they told me to replace two meals with shakes and have a reasonable lunch or dinner).

I told them I didn't get the brand of Protein Drink they suggested and they said that was okay as long as I was using something that had 60 grams of Protein. They never mentioned how many carbs I was supposed to be taking in.

Yesterday was my first full day on the diet. I skipped Breakfast, had a Protein Shake for lunch (Premier brand from Sam's...liked the taste), a Protein Bar for a snack mid afternoon and then chicken breast, green Beans and a salad for dinner. Total of about 1000 calories, 63 grams carbs and 122 grams Proteins. Does that sound about right?? I need some help on this.

I start my pe-op diet tomorrow. Mine sounds like yours. I am supposed to have a Protein Shake for breakfast and lunch. Water in between with no Snacks. Then have a dinner of Protein and veggies except they told me 4 oz protein and half the plate veggies that are low carbs like no peas, Beans potatoes or carrots. And the plate needs to be a small plate not a dinner plate... But I think what u had sounds good!!! Keep up the good work! It won't be long for either of us !

I wish they would have given more info to you. Drink lots of Water. I would even look into lean cusine or healthy choice meals for dinner to make life easier and allow more Portion Control. Best wishes! :)

Thanks LilBoo, yep counting the days :)

ElleG, the Water has been keeping me going. Been doing plenty of that for sure. The frozen dinners are a good idea too...hadn't thought about that since I usually cook most of our meals.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
