You folks eating that baked fish. I cant stand it never have been able to with any type of fish. I will only eat it if its fried. Catfish preferably

Born and raised in sight of the ocean, so I love, love, love seafood. I've heard that catfish is delicious, though I've never had it. :-)

Tried bending' date=' didn't work. Tried fingers down the throat, didn't work. Tried looking at food, made me nauseous but didn't work. I'm just not a puker. I think remembering I am not the same as I used to be and being more careful in the future is going to be my best defense.

Am I the only one who feels so normal that you sometimes wonder if the doctor did the surgery right? That is, until this happens? Feeling like this is a confirmation that yes, he DID do it right.[/quote']

Can you take a little walk? That really helps me.

First day of 'real' food! I had two veggie meatballs (1 ounce) with a teaspoon of pesto sauce and a spoonful of red sauce. Delicious! But I ate too fast and felt stuck, walked around and now I'm ok. Gonna start timing my ounces...my nutritionist said 3 oz of Protein should take 20 to 30 minutes. I definitely chowed it too quickly!

Made myself a snack. I got bananas the other day, peeled and cut them in half and froze them. Then I'll take one out and dip it in a little Peanut Butter. So yummy. Next time, though, I'll put Popsicle sticks in them so I don't freeze my fingers -_-

I feel pretty normal as well. I just am not hungry and can't eat alot. But my recovery has been fairly easy compared to lots of people I read on here. I have thrown up twice' date=' and don't plan on that happening again if I can help it. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I just wish that my weight would come off quicker.[/quote']

I'm that way as well. Really easy time and can eat pretty much everything EXCEPT steak!! Tried it and it was so gross and fatty that I could only eat 3 bites!! No more steak!!

Zucchini lasagna tonight. My family wants garlic bread, but I must resist...sweets aren't a trigger for me, but bread ? Oh yeah!

Ugh me too. I've tried and I just can't find a way that I think it tastes good.

I loved it pre surgery now I have an aversion to the chunks:(. So weird

Ditto too! I only eat wild caught fish. I don't do farm raised (catfish, tilapia, etc). They taste muddy to me. Probably because they are farm raised. I live at the beach so access to fresh fish is never hard for me.

I wish i could find a way to get fresh catfish here. I used to live in Mississippi not far from the coast so always had seafood markets close by. But not here.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
