What ya eating tonight?

Recommended Posts

I bought some of those Oscar Mayer carving board meats the ham and turkey. They taste so close to the cutting off the bone from thanksgiving. Anyway i ate 1 slice of turkey 1 slice of ham and a small avocado, was so good.

Actually was able to eat a whole small banana for lunch. Only got 38 grams of Protein in from food. Guess tonight i will have to have a ensure high Protein Drink. They are 25 grams that will put me over 60.

I made salsbury steak out of frozen turkey patties and fat free gravy. I added sauteed onions and mushrooms. I mashed cauliflower instead of potatoes and cooked string Beans. Low fat low cal meal for the whole family. They still don't know they ate cauliflower.

I've never had cauliflower raw or cooked. The smell during cooking makes me gag but I've been curious about mashed cauliflower as a healthier choice. Can you really not tell the difference? Does it smell bad?

I love mashed cauliflower. I just cook it until real soft then use I can't believe it's not butter small amount of fat free milk and salt and pepper. Really good. Or you can add weight watcher cream cheese. Super good. You can tell a difference but not a lot. Consistency is a tad different.

I've never bought them but I have seen them at Kroger in the deli/cheese area. I bet HEB sells them and Central Market. They are a specialty type item at better groceries.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
