Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

Recommended Posts

Are there any shrinking violets from Toronto, Ontario? I am envious of the fact that the Texas people are getting together and would like to set something up with those who live in my area.

...Jennifer, if you pm me your address I'll US mail you a copy of my nutritionist's eating plan that is appropriate for lapband. And maybe since you are so computer orientated you can post it for all.

yes! please post it!

Hey Terri, Josie, Schexxy, whoever else is joining us on the 24th... Town and Country is fine with me. I like Cafe Express and I've never been to Escalante. Either is fine with me, I'm not picky at all. I get off of work at 5 so I can be down there at about 5:45. ... are any of the other ladies coming in a size 22-24? I have some shirts that I'd like to bring for you. Let me know...

Chica Chula - I am a size 22-24 so please bring the skirts. When I am out of that size, I will donate them and then give you the tax receipt!

Ok just got home from the doctor...he added in 0.8cc!!! I've lost 5 lbs since the last fill 3 weeks ago, so hopefully this will kickstart me a little more since I HOPEFULLY won't be able to eat as much in a sitting. That's where I'm having a hard time because I'm not hungry in between meals so I normally don't snack, however once I start eating I FEEL hungry and don't feel full.

Hopefully this will help...I'm now at my 3rd fill and have a total of 2.8 in a 4cc band....seems like a lot since I just got banded 2 1/2 months ago....

Afternoon everyone!!

Mission accomplished on the newest flower bed. It's been paved, lined, planted and mulched. And I got my exercise in hauling the blocks and the mulch, not to mention down on my knees digging BIG holes for the plants. DH has been working on the fencing. We have to have everything done by Sunday when the church garden tour comes through. Then I can breathe deep and let it go until next year!

My mom would be proud of me. She was a great flower lover and had the most beautiful flower gardens. Never a weed in them and no easy way out with liner and mulch.

I've got half my Water in for the day and will probably finish the rest right now. I'm sooooooo thirsty. It's 72 out but the sun is beating down.

I have a meeting tonight so I better hop in the shower and get changed or they will all be forced to sequester me due to the "flower stink".. :)

Hey all, that is all helpful info. I sent a couple of PM's so you guys don't think I'm ignoring.

So this am I called and scheduled an appt with my nutritionist for Friday am. I know in all reality, 40lbs in 3 months is great. but I want to change my bad habbits with good ones, and eating 3 oz of moist chicken 2x's a day and a scrambled egg and 1 serving of veggies is not it. so, now the next phase.

I went to the gym, did a full set of weights. tomorrow I'm going to do cardio and arms, wed Water aerobics and thurs cardio & legs and friday a full set weekend off. I'm going to get this right! LOL

Town & Country villiage : (Escalante or Cafe Express?)

Let's say Cafe Express if you don't mind. I never get to eat there and it's one of my favorite spots! Plus, they have lots of healthy choices. Escalante, not so much. Oh Goody! This will be fun!

Sorry to you other violets. :) We'll take pics, ok? Will that help? And we'll try NOT to have any fun and we DEFINITELY won't talk about any of YOU! OK? :lie:

I am so jealous.....

well i got the only mini skirt in the entire JCPenney. everything was skorts and I didn't want that, I think they are horribly uncomfortable and walking for 8 hrs in the heat... YUCK

well it was a size 18. I know not that impressive but considering my other one is a size 24 I am very happy. and it is not tight at all, I did have a 16 in something else, and they fit, just showed a little too much so I won't worry about how I look all day. I have a cute black top I'm going to run to my friends and take in so It stays up and I got these cute sketchers flip flops/ black with white fringe and skulls to wear with it. I am going to look so cute.

I'll have my daughter take pics. I'm going to bring my camera so my friend can take lots while we are there... maybe even one with me and Hillary... HAHAHAHAHAHAH

Terry... You better take LOTS of pics or we definitely will be jealous. Not like I won't be jealous anyway.. You violets are so lucky to be close to each other and get to meet each other in person. I can't begin to think how much fun you're going to have. Does this restaurant know what it's in for?? Try not to get thrown out, k???

Good morning Jennifer, ladies!

Jennifer, if you pm me your address I'll US mail you a copy of my nutritionist's eating plan that is appropriate for lapband. And maybe since you are so computer orientated you can post it for all.

I would love to get the copy of your nutritionist's eating plan.

Is it all typed out so all you have to do is photo copy it?

I am not sure how much one would charge me here to see one.

They only have them at the hospital, and I am sure it would

be expensive. I am pretty broke right now, but also depressed'

to know everyone else is losing like crazy and I have been stuck for

2 months. :help: Denise

I'm so happy for her! My dad's side of the family are all huge, she lost a ton on south beach but has stopped so she has worked hard and has changed her souther way of eating so I think she will do well!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
