33 days and counting!!!! Excited beyond words, dreading starting the liquid diet in 2 weeks. Who else is looking to change their lives in February?????

So my surgery is this morning. Since the beginning my husband has been in denial. Last night he tells me he doesn't want me to go it. I let him know I'm going forward with or without his help. So he calls me selfish and sleeps on the vouch! WTF!!! I'm so pusses right now!

I'm so sorry Lisa. I hope he comes around and realizes this is about you...but then again, that is probably the major problem. If you are like most women, you put everyone else first all of the time...it's wonderful that you allowed yourself to take this major step to have a better, healthier life. I hope he will understand that you are important too and he is being a big baby. Lol men....ugh!

Good luck o all up coming surgeries. Also I hope al the post ops are doing well. I haven't been on her much lately been really sick and had 2 different surgeries.

My date is the 24th and I start my liquid diet now. I'm nervous and excited all at the se time.

Lisa, I am so sorry he is doing this to you when you are trying to change your life for the healthier. Their is an underlying reason why he is acting like this, so until he wants to speak honestly with you, I would hold strong and not call him. Do you have other family to support you and assist you? My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry honey, it is hard enough to do through this with supportive people, I hope everything works out.....it sounds to me like maybe your husband is afraid of you getting skinny and leaving him....I think they think of our fat as an insurance policy. He might just need some reassurance. Remind him that he is in love with you and you love him.....and that our bodies skinny or fat belong only to each other. Remind him that it is you he loves not your body, ....sometimes our men just need some reassurance. I know it is hard when he is the one being insensitive, but all you can do is try. I don't know your whole situation, but I've been through marriage counseling a few times and have made it 14 years with many hardships along the way....if you ever want to chat PM me.

Okay, all checked in and my surgeon is running several hours behind. Looks like I will head to surgery around 5pm. ;(
