Does anybody who had IBS with constipation prior to Surgery still experience symptoms since having the procedure? Just curious. My Gastro Doctor says perhaps my severe bouts will get better after surgery. I hope and pray they will. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't have the constipation, but I was told the IBS bouts I have will get better too.

I had my gall bladder remove 10 wks after my RNY, I don't know whether I have IBS but I have had some serious issues with diahrrea (sp?) for a while. Went to the gastro. dr and he says I might be lactose intolerant we are testing the waters now with eliminating all dariy and seeing if it improves.

Thank you all, had my Gallbladder out in 1983 and started having issues with IBS about 10 years later. I hope my issues get better as well as all of yours too.
