Got home yesterday from hospitals stay. Band to RNY surgery went really well. In some pain as usual but I'm walking around and attempting to get all my liquids consumed. Good on the Water but harder to get all my Protein, but I'll keep trying. About how long did it take all of you to recover so you could go back to work, etc.? BTW, thanks to all for their emails and supportive posts.

My surgery is in 12 hours. In 12 hours I am becoming a loser! In 12 hours my life will no longer be as I know it. In 12 hours Im going to get some good drugs. In 12 hours wow I am really having surgery. It is here it felt like tomorrow would never come, and now it is only 12 hours away. Just letting it sink in, now if I could just stop going to the bathroom, I could fully enjoy this moment : )

My one and only surgery buddy!!! My doc just called. I was very impressed that he himself called me at 7:43 pm to make sure I didn't have any last minute questions and that I am ready.

Hi surgery buddy! I am surprised you got a call from your surgeon. What time is your surgery tomorrow?

Did you gain any from surgery (gas and fluid)?

I'm never exactly sure what to include' date=' its confusing since I came out heavier than when I went in. If I go from when I started my pre-op liquids I was 236.8, went down to 233.8 dos, (loss of 3) then up to 239.8 so a gain of 6, and am now at 225.1. Do I count the 6lbs I gained and then lost from surgery (14.7) or do I just say I lost 8.7?

See, this is what happens to a brain lacking caffeine-nothing but mush, lol. ;)[/quote']

see i was 310 when i started liquids got down to 292 and left hospital at 303... i havent weighed since I just left hospital yesterday... prolly will weigh again at Drs office feb 4

Neek----->DOS: 1/22/13

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
