I am so thankful and blessed to have had the surgery. I wouldn't change it and couldn't be happier with my choice to get it. I have my times when eating is harder then normal but the outcome is worth it. I loved food before and now food isn't the same. But that's good for me because pretty sure I was becoming addicted to food. I want to lose another 40-50 lbs. For anyone needing reassurance, gastric bypass was the best for me.

My entire abdomen is bruised and swollen after surgery - even in places far from the incisions.

Mines was the same and they filled ur abdomen with air

I doubted myself too in the beginning, like how can this possibly work for me?? But it will give it time. I say, I know I didn't put weight on over night, so the weight can't come off over night.

With just a little over 20 pounds lost I can actually see the difference, it's amazing. Can't wait to hit my next 20.
