Getting Closer And Closer

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone I'm getting super excited. 3 months done out of 6 for medically supervised diet. Be done in febuary and submit in march (hopefully) today I called the surgeons office because I have been waiting since august or september for my sleep study referal. And the lady at the surgeons office said he didn't put that I needed this. I'm sitting here like well he told me I do lol. Well anyways long story short, I am switching my insurance plan on march 1. And the insurance I'm switching to is much easier to be approved than the one I'm on now. So anyways she told me to call her in march to get it scheduled I totally cried! I was so worried that would push me back to june or july before id have the surgery. Well omg I'm so happy the sleep study place called and I have an appointment for a consultation on december 17. I'm like yay that's a month away now I won't be pushed back! I can still possibly have it by mid april! (And that's at the latest) thank god the got this taken care of today I already been waiting about 3 months lol so excited because things are so close and I'm happy. I've never been so happy for something ever and reading everyones stories completely makes me even more excited! Yay lol I haven't been able to express this to anyone other than my family. But omg when they called I cried I'm so happy! Anyways sorry for blabbering on just so happy! :-D

Hey, bro, wow the sure put you through slot of hoops. Are you Retired? Reason I ask is if your on Medicare you need to switch to Humana. I did and was able to complete my test needed and have Surgery all in 2 months. No diet plan. I'm sorry it's so long. I live in Arizona. I had my surgery on the 7th Nov. doing great. Main problem in stomach pain due to the Staples. Has Gastric Bypass. Good luck.

One step at a time. Stay Positive :-)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
