Does anyone as feel like their head is just constantly messing with them? I have these moments when I seriously think ok... I'm probably going to stop losing anymore weight... I should accept it now.... I'm 2 weeks post op.... I know its just my mind and I just keep reminding myself that I've got this... I just have to stick to the plan.....

Yes, I sometimes have moments like that. I am approximately two weeks post op and amazed at the diversity of food I am able to eat (that scares me bc of fear of returning to old habits).

I can eat A LOT of different foods, but I just did my first grocery shopping. People it was HARD! I found a lot of great things, but I was like "HECK NO!" when it came to the yogurt. I was not willing to do that many carbs for that little Protein. It felt Weird. BUT....I have been food journaling since I got home and that has really helped me to stay on track nutrition wise. I have been able to "eat out" as long as it is Soup or chili. With Christmas coming up I am going to try the new "No Sugar Added" hot chocolate. PS sugar free Whip cream is my friend and my pouch likes it too! I now have no desire for chocolate or most baked goods either since surgery. Great places for recipes are "The world according to Egg Face" or Hungry Girl. Eating healthy doesn't mean you can't like it!

Do I went back to work yesterday on the Christmas office pot luck on the board it says hope you ware your fat pants because we have a massive buffet. I went to the staff meeting and didn't return for the pot luck I made my lunch and stuck to it. Whoop whoop to me. I have not had so many people hug me and ask me about my weight loss and how good I look. One of my use co workers came over and said someone in the office wants info on my surgery and what are the qualifications but scared to ask. Serious I'm a big soft Teddy Bear. I had a head ache all day thank god the day went fast. Before I had surgery one of my goals where to learn to run and take part in a race. So I have several co workers who are all different sizes signed up for warrior dash . Mud bobwire climbing fire hills cars tires a big challenge 5k. I signed up and so did hubby . I can't believe I signed up. I'm going to due. My fav co worker said don't worry I'll die with you lol. I can do this aaahhhhh my first big goal wow. Warrior dash goes around to different cities in the states and once in Ontario. Check it out and please let me know I'm crazy warriordash.com

I can't say I am fatigued at all. But I sure do get hunger pains! I think it is the fact that I am still having a very hard time getting in my Protein. I talked to NP on Wednesday and she just said Snacks between meals help. I think I finally found a pre made Protein shake that I like so I hope that helps me! It has just been this past 2 weeks with the hunger pains and it drives me nuts.

I tried pure Protein Bar since they have it at sheetz. Good but did not even finish it. And the one I bought was high in calories.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
