I got home yesterday evening spent most of today sleeping but I got in at least 40 oz of fluids (large glass of Water and a bottle of g2)but no protein

liquids after surgery are most important. You don't want to get sick so it is great that you can handle liquids. Just work in Proteins when you can. Congrats on your homecoming :-)

Medication in apple sauce is disgusting. I found a way around it. We are allowed spices, so I added a little cinnamon. It helped a lot.

Try mixing in with a teaspoon of Sugar Free Chocolate sauce. The squirt bottle you use to make chocolate milk or on your sundae. You can't even taste the pills. Make sure it's sugar free.

I had my 2 week post-surgery mtg with the surgeon today. All went well. My H&H are still low due to blood loss [8 & 27 - should be 15 and 40], but I am down 28 lbs and I am off insulin all together. Feeling good [worth the difficulties]. My mood gets better with each passing day as I am also feeling better eating the pureed diet]. You all?

Yeah. Great about the insulin and weight loss :-) all good news GC.

I also wanted to let every one know that we have a post op thread for December. Many are only posting on that thread now. I still go back and forth. I did want you to know so you could join many more of us over there as we share our stories w each other ;-)

I can't find the post op thread for December.

Under Forums' date=' my window looks like this

post-28139-13813811063839_thumb.jpg

I clicked on the post-operation gastric bypass. December is at the very top after I clicked on that cuz it is very well used and people are posting all the time.

I just realized an easier way, click on my picture and view my posts. You will see our post op thread there :-) it will be towards the bottom of the list.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
