Recommended Posts

Today gets even better. The pain is tolerable when you take the medicine and trust me I am not one of those high pain tolerance people. I am so happy to here you did well. I can't wait to go home today it's time to start my new life!

Me too! I go home today. And I agree with the meds issue. Congrats to us!

Omg!!! I did it. I had surgery today at noon. I expected the worst and cried some before it because I was so nervous. Right now at 11pm is the most I have been alert and awake. I have been sleeping like crazy and a few hours ago I had some juice and broth which went down ok especially cuz I was hungry and dry throat. I also toke a short walk which was hard because I am super dizzy. The pain was bad at first but has gotten easier and is tolerable. I'm a big baby and for me I was surprised the pain is not bad. Nothing that the meds could not fix. I no longer am scared and I feel good and don't regret this!! Thank God. Now I am finally excited!!! :) Wishing everyone the best.........

Just found out my pain pump button wasn't working, so the whole time I have been without pain meds and I feel fine. Still just so tired, but was walking the halls at 4am and on way to walk some more. Got gatorade and popsicles down, feeling good, little hesitant about the Jello LOL karmagirl I was nervous as heck too, even told my hubby let's just go home, bc I was scheduled at 8 but Dr had an emergency so it didn't happen until 10. Glad I didn't leave. (((Hugs))) to everyone going today!

Ladyspl, WOW no pain meds.. Glad you were able to make it through ok with out them. The pain pump and the catheter bug me more than the surgery itself. lol I see you are at AGH. I'll be at Magee on Monday. :-)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
