Hi guys!

I haven't posted a lot but I have been keeping up with everyone's progress. Isla I hope everything goes well for you at your appointment and that you are able to have surgery.

I had my two week postop appointment today and was cleared for soft foods and to go back to work. I still need to work on Protein intake. Hopefully it will be easier with soft foods. I am down 12 pounds which is good but I had hoped for more. Just wanted to check in and let you guys know that you all are in my thoughts!

Jessica B.

I think the best thing I did was get three(3) of those egg crate style bed toppers, place them all on top of each other, makes it a lot easier to sleep!

Then, I blast some gas and make my eyes cry.....really sick of only liquids, want something to TASTE!!!

i havent been cleared by the dr to take that yet.. so i dont know if i should even try it?but i cant even tqke my other meds with out being in pain..

I'd just run it past the dr. I call their office everytime I have a question and they don't seem to mind better safe than sorry. Hope u feel better soon. The thin strips resolve on ur tongue like listerine strips so nothing goes into ur stomach just absorbed in your mouth. So it may not cause u pain to do them?

Ya I can image I was on liquids for 2 weeks to as of weds went to mushy it's been ok . It will be nice web we go to regular food . How are you feeling

Mushy sounds like heaven! I feel pretty good physically. I've been really blessed. Mentally I'm obsessing over how much to drink when to take Vitamins what Protein I can get down ect. I want desperately to have some food because some times I have to force myself to drink Protein. I've been doing Premier Protein it has 1 gram sugar and 30 protein. It's easy to drink 2 of them. They are only 11 oz too. I have been trying to walk everyday but I don't think it's been more than 15 mins plus the usual getting around to pick up and what not. I'm making the hubby set up the treadmill I've been afraid to myself but he has off this weekend :) I'm going to aim for 30 mins at first well see how I do. Thanks for asking how I'm doing.

Lmao.... If only I could pass gas..I'm in so much pain on the left side it hurts to walk. Or eat but I want real food to. I put a chip on my mouth chewed it and spit it on the sink the other day that's how desperate I was.

Mine's full of blood. They still aren't completely sure why it happened or where it all went. Five blood transfusions and 2 things of plasma. Still very weak. Pain in my left side is the worst. This has been harder than anything else in my life... Definitely NOT The easy way out! Hope everyone else its doing good:

Jessica

I have to agree its so far from being the easy way out. I'm praying for you. Your journey has been rough so far but you will be better soon I'm sure. I get really tired too. I can't imagine how you must feel. Hugs take it easy and don't worry yourself. I'm not sure if your religious and if your not I'm not trying to offend you but have faith the Lord he can heal us and make us healthy again.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
