Very nice day today, FINALLY passed a lot of gas( my dog has been giving me evil looks when I did) but really makes things better! Short walks around house have been the key, now trying to keep mind occupied. Also got some milk of magnesia, also helped with bm :)

Hello! It's great to meet you all! I'm Judy and my surgery date is September 17th!

I have a few questions if you don't mind?

•why do we give up caffeine?

• I have read about liquid diet pre-op but' date=' my Dr. has me on a low fat low Carb and Protein shake diet. Has anyone else done this?

• What do you tell people who are negative about RNY gastric bypass surgery?

Thanks everyone!!! This is an awesome thread!!!![/quote']

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow!!

Ugh my Sunday has been going awful I woke up with the same pain and finally gave in and went to the ER :/ the did a ct scan and found I'm leaking blood under the incision that's very painful! I got antibiotics more pain meds and seeing my surgeon in the morning where they are more than likely going to drain it!! Ouch

Well it's the night before my Surgery and my husband and oldest child think I'm.going to die on the operating table. They both hate it. Not the way I wanted to go into this. My other three boys are oblivious to it all.

Blessings to you Sassy!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
