St. Louis, Missouri - New Start?

Has anyone gone through New Start at St. Alexius Hospital. I went to a seminar with Dr. Norbert Richardson and am looking into lap band surgery with him but do not find a lot on OH website or Lap Band Talk. Thanks for your comments. Ann

The seminar is an overview of the gastric bypass & lap band surgeries. They do have a time for Q&A at the end of the presentation, but the questions asked/answered are fairly general. Some good questions were asked, but most discussion and interest is really geared toward the by-pass.

I've started the program at Wash U. I have my consult/appointments with them on the 30th of April, and on the 1st of May. I've already submitted my pretesting results to them, and filled out some questionaires from them. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

I attended the April 21, 2007 New Start seminar in St. Peters, MO. Is anyone familar with him, or New Start in general. I turned in insurance info today. I just started being covered by BC/BS of Illionois. I think they will cover the surgery - may have to wait 6 months. I've been going to Weight Watchers since Dec of 2006, so hopefully they will count that towards 6 months of supervised dieting. Anyone from the Quincy, IL area? This is my first post. Any info would be appreciated.

Mary
