My stomach also growls for food. It's very normal. HUH! I want to be 125lbs already it's taking for ever. I know someone in this group lost over 20 pounds in 10 days like... Wish it was me,but I know everyine is different.

Walking! Get out and walk! When I start feeling the pain i know it's time for my 15 min walk. Sure enough pain abates and I feel happier. My surgery was 6/7. Give it a shot - walk slow but get out and move. I do it 4 times a day- goal is 6 times a day as dr suggested 4-6 times a day.

I still feel very confident in all of this. I have my weak moments. I was only eating 3 times a day and just realized I should be eating 6. I can have Clear Liquids, sf Popsicles, scrambles eggs, light yogurt and mashed pot. The yogurt not working so well. I walk around several times a day, I get a min of 30 mins in per day. My bloated feeling is gone and so are the pains. I dont

Have any specific # of what I expect to lose over the next month and I know I am still learning

It is very common to gain weight in the first week after surgery due to swelling, air etc so don't get discouraged !

I asked in the hospital, do I get weighed today? The Dr. Said no, you will probably disapointed you may have even gained some weight so don't do it! Between the bloat, gas and swelling. So of course I come home and two days later I step on the scale and I lost 1lb should of listened to the dam Dr!! I am not weighing in unroll Dr. Tess me to!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
