Hello! I am a full time student/mother of 3 kids. I have been struggling with my weight since I was 9 years old. I have always used food to comfort me. Well I am now at the age of 32. I am 5ft 9inches tall and before I went in for my RNY surgery on April 20th I weighed 297 pounds. I went on the liquid pre-op diet and on the morning of surgery weighed 285. I weighed in at my 4 week mark and I now weigh 258 pounds and have lost 15inches. The diet has been difficult until I reached the point where I could eat more than soft foods. I feel better eating some protein. I still cannot get much of the shakes down, but I am taking it one day at a time. I look forward to going through this journey with all of you, who will be going on with your own journey. Good luck to each and every one of us to reach our goals.

I too am having trouble with protein shakes. I can't find one that I like longer than one time. I would much rather get my protein from food instead. One day at a time seems to be the way to go. One day something tastes good and the next not so much. It is very confusing.

Its very confusing. One day something is good on my pouch, then the next day when I eat it it about makes me sick. Its a battle everyday. I just do my best and try not to stress too much.
