If you can tolerate it till Friday wait but if it's annoying you go to the hospital it doesn't sound right.

How far along post op are you? I'm just wondering because your lungs are more susceptible to infection after surgery. I had a nasty upper respiratory infection 2 weeks post op and my doctor actually sent me for a chest X-ray to ensure I didn't have pneumonia. If you feel really cruddy or have trouble breathing is try to get in to see the doctor sooner. In the interim.. Lots of fluids... I also took Diabetic cold medicine over the counter to help calm the cough.

Coughing up something is pretty serious any time. Call your doc right away.

Even if it isn't in your chest yet, it could work its way down there. Drink tons of liquids. Drown yourself with liquids! It will help thin the mucus in your chest.

I am 10 weeks post op I called the doctor they are going to try an get me in ASAP

Went to the doctors today I have a touch of bronchitis with a ear infection. Gave me antibiotics hopefully I will be feeling better tomorrow or next day
