I'm in the Pearland area, right outside Houston city limits.....

Well looks like Houston is going to have some hotties in 2013!!!

Hi ladies! I'm in Dickinson, south of Houston also! Not far from Pearland. I'm happy to have the strict one- I need it lol I lost 16 pounds during the two week diet and I think it set me up in the right mind frame. Plus, he's cuteeee!! lolol I'm 8 days post op and am up to 1.5 miles of walking in the am (a little over 30 min) and 15 minutes of using a step stool as a stepper while watching tv at night (a SERIOUS workout!) When I first met Dr. Garth in October I was at 255. I ate SO much cause I knew it was to be no more that I gained a horrible 8 pounds- up to 263 by the time I started my 2 week liquid diet in December. I'm now at 240.3 and oh so happy about it. Having a super easy time getting down Water and even Protein Shakes, as well as creamed Soups. I love Soup also, so I haven't felt too deprived lol Raquel- I noticed you said something about sushi- watch out if it has rice in it. Dr. Garth told me no kinds of rice, Pasta, bread, crackers anything carb like (the stricty lol) Can't wait to meet up ladies! I have my postop on Tuesday in the am. I was thinking about going to hangout in discovery green downtown after if the day is nice and do some walking. If anyones free, you're welcome to join! :)

I know!!!! (on the sushi) but I figured it wasn't a lot of rice! Now I will ONLY have it if it's a celebration or something special since I love love LOVE it!!

Dr. Garth is a hottie, I have him on my FB- I happen to get Robert cause he did the seminar that I attended and he answered all my questions so bluntly and without sugar coating it which I liked. I need strictness too!!

Dickinson is close to me!! We should all really plan a get together for some support!!!

How do you feel about or have you tried the Atkins dinners? They have about 23grams of protien and taste really good!

I've had the Protein shakes and they are too sweet for me... It's not hard to cook healthy.. Do you like fish? The frozen tilapia is the easiest thing to cook!..

I like salmon-- but nothing we eat will add up to all the Protein we need so the Protein Shakes are a MUST is what my nutricionist & dr told me~ I went out and bought the Magic Bullet to make my shakes, I add soy milk and a scoop of protein along with fruits & veggies

I am anxious to meet with the dr on the 17th! I want him to check me out and make sure everything is ok-- I am super concerned with the amounts I'm able to consume and I worry that I may have a leak but, if I had a leak I'd be sick (I think) anyways I just want him to reassure me that I'm fine and if I'm NOT, I wanna be fixed!

When was your surgery Raquel? I feel like I can drink tons too! It takes me about an hour and a half but I have no problem downing 10 oz of Protein Shake and this evening I had to stop myself from getting another 2 oz of soup... I mean I know 2 oz is nothing compared to what I was eating, but it feels so soon after surgery

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
