I was told that the data is transmitted to your doctors office asap...the way the lady from novasom explained it to me by phone is that once you submit the data your through the device wireless it goes directly to the doctors office...you can also call the place that will be shipping you the device to use for clarity

Hahaha, I was really nice to the sleep tech, and they showed me my results before I left the building. I knew what that meant... CPAP (And by the way, after about two nights I adjusted to CPAP, and LOVE it!!!

I was told right away by the sleep tech as my results were that bad. I was then informed by my doctor of the results and was fitted for a BIPAP and mask within 5 days. NOTE: The BiPAP is used to treat severe obstructive sleep apnea. I've never herd of BIPAP until this. I love it ever since the first night. I feel very rested now. But I cannot wait to loose enough weight to hopefully not need the BIPAP anymore.

Head's Up! This is ANOTHER thing to focus on. It WILL make sleeping "different" until to adjust to it. BUT WHEN YOU DO, it will make a world of POSITIVE difference to the quality of your sleep (and the happiness of your partner). After 6 months I usually wake up wondering why I took the mask off -- and I haven't... it's still comfortably on my face!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
