Has anyone chewed and spit out food during liquid phase?

I'm so embarrassed to admit this, but someone gave me the idea on here that he/she chewed some solid food to get the sensation and flavor and spit it out. I was so desperate at day 4 or 5 post surgery that I tried it. I felt an immediate relief of having food in my mouth but spit it out. I'm afraid this is a slippery slope and I'm scared that I have so little self control (still) that I would do this more than once. I fear a little food may have gone down, but so far I feel fine. I've done it a handful of times over the past few days. I'm 10 days post op. Anyone do this craziness?

My advice is to be very careful not to make it a habit. Chew/spitting is a habit a lot of anorexics have to avoid food. i'm not saying anyone here has anorectic tendencies, but it is a slippery slope that I would avoid if at all possible.

Thank you, while I understand what you are saying, this was just to help me from cheating on my liquid and I do not plan on continuing this, by thanks.

The day before surgery my wife baked homemade bread. It was torture! I chewed some up and spit it out. I've done it a few times post-op too. Brownies! Seriously, as long as you understand the misery that accompanies swallowing it, I don't see a problem doing it on occasion. Careful with the juices from it though!
