How did your friends and family react to surgery in Mexico?

I haven't told any friends or family of my scheduled VSG on Nov 14th in Mexico. The only person that knows is my husband.

I'm exactly like you' date=' I only told my husband and my best friends. I had mentioned a friend who had it done a year prior to my actual surgery and my family flipped out and said they hope I never had it done because I could achieve anything thru diet and exercise. The most unsupportive group of people ever, and they don't need to know my business, so I have never told them.[/quote']

Lola, I feel your pain. I messed up and told my sister over the weekend. She flipped out and told me that I have lost my mind. "You'll die! People die, OMG!" Wishing if just kept my mouth shut now... :(

I will never tell my sisters bc one is pure evil. Only my husband knows and if he tells I told him its divorce court...lol. seriously, I put trust in him so he better not tell a soul.
