Is there a way for the September Folks to stay current with each other? I mean, do you have to just pick through the posts -- or is there a centralized communication that folks can do?

Sassy sleevers on Fb is great, and I have a separate September sleevers group. Just email me your address and I'll add you.

I had surgery Monday. Today is a great day, but it's still hard to get Protein and Water in. I'm on full liquids for a month and I don't think those include mashed potatoes or cottage cheese. But! I'm ok with that because it sounds horrible right now.

Anyone off pain meds? I think I will be by next week.

I'd love to get in a group. My email is funmama1@yahoo.com. I'm on fb' date=' but keeping this journey private. ;)[/quote']

Mine is not a private journey... I am blessed that I was able to do this. My husband is planning to go in for his in March. I feel blessed that his entire family is supportive since they all know the medical reasons.

I wish you lots of luck and know that we are all here to support each other!

I am going to jump in here. I was sleeved 9/3. I have lost 16 pounds since surgery and 26 since my surgical consult. I had my post op visit today and was advanced to full liquids....Next step real food I can chew!

As for the FB groups, take advice with a grain of salt. Sassy Sleevers is popular and has a lot of members but it's pretty catty and full of poor advice. The September group is going well right now and it's set as Closed/Private so that any posts made there do not show up on your Facebook wall.

That's great. I'm interested in the Sept group. Closed groups are great.

I've added everyone that responded to the september group. I agree, sassy sleevers has all of kinds of patients-- people asking for permission to behave poorly as well as perfect patients that follow the book. Have to pick and choose for sure!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
